12th Annual Fall Festival

Celebrating its 12th year, Fall Festival is Truckee’s premier family-friendly autumn celebration and one of Tahoe Donner’s largest community events of the year! Fall Festival is a favorite for all ages, featuring a full day of harvest-themed events and activities.
The kids will especially enjoy the pumpkin patch, bounce house, face painting and a candy apple station. Test your skills on the climbing wall, slide and even a doggie dip adventure for your four-legged friends in Northwoods Pool!
Pony rides will be available from 11am until the ponies need to hit the hay! Please arrive early to ensure availability. Pony rides are only for children ages 2-6 weighing less than 60 pounds; limited to one pony ride per child.
Find tasty treats for the whole family! Pizza on the Hill will be open from 11am-4pm.
A shuttle will run from the Trout Creek Recreation Center parking lot to the Fall Festival grounds for easy parking and access.
Truckee Parade and Trick or Treat

Kids will have the opportunity to Trick or Treat among the shops of Old Town Truckee. Dress up in your favorite costume and parade through downtown Truckee to the Community Arts Center. You can also Trick or Treat through the Community Art Center for candy.
The parade leaves from the Truckee Train Station at 6pm sharp!

Tahoe Adventure Company’s knowledgeable guides will teach you about the natural and human history of the area, while you watch the sun cast a calming alpenglow onto the surrounding Sierras. A serene atmosphere is created as guests take in the rising full moon from the lake, far away from the daily bustle.
The moon illuminates the beautiful expanse of Lake Tahoe and often appears extraordinarily large as it is viewed in close proximity to the Sierra Nevada range. This is an unforgettable experience!

40th Annual Truckee Ski and Board Swap

The biggest ski swap of the year is happening in Truckee! Shop a huge selection of new and used winter equipment and get the entire family geared up for winter fun. Get there early for a good spot in line and the best selection. Admission is free. Local reps from ski shops and resorts will be on hand to answer your questions.
At the Ski Swap, you can purchase Season Passes, Lift Tickets, Local Gift Cards, and more.
Proceeds from the sales and silent auction at the Ski Swap help support Truckee Youth Sports Programs such as Buddy Werner, Girls Softball, Youth Basketball and Youth Hockey.
