Truckee provides a charming backdrop to enjoy Thanksgiving with your family and friends. You can savor a Thanksgiving meal to go from the comfort of your home. Additionally, many local restaurants are adding turkey with all of the trimmings to their menu.
Add in the opportunity to ski, or still find accessible late-autumn hiking and Truckee is the place to be! For many, strolling through the quaint shops in Old Town Truckee will be enough exercise to work off the festive meal.
Ski and Snow Report
While some elevations above 7000 feet got a dusting of snow from the last round of storms, the forecast is for cooler days as we approach Thanksgiving 2023. This will give the ski resorts plenty of time for snow making in preparation for opening. Forecasters are calling for snow around mid-month. Overall, a nice base should be building for skiing and riding this holiday season.
